Consumer Council has compared the nutritional content of low-fat Milk with common Vegan Milks. Cow Milk contains essential amino acids and is rich in Vitamin B12 and the main source of calcium. Vegan drinking Vegan Milk without fortified nutrients or additional vitamin may have healthy problem.
Silky creamy milk beverages with additives have relatively lower nutrient value
13 out of 60 milk or milk beverages being sold in the market were found with at least 1 additive or up to 8 additives. 10 of them are contained E466 additive and the research by Chinese University of Hong Kong found E466 may cause inflammatory intestinal disease
A study published in UK Lancet Journal at 11 September 2018 shows that people who consume two portions or more of whole-fat dairy products per day can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by 22%, the risk of serious heart disease by 23%; and the risk of stroke by 34%.
